Reella Real Estate

Designing a concept real estate website to simplify home-buying for first-time buyers

For this project, I designed a concept website for Reella, a hypothetical real estate company. My goal was to make the home-buying journey more approachable for young adults by researching competitors, identifying target audiences, and addressing common pain points. The result was a site that balances functionality with an inviting, user-friendly design.

I focused on crafting a memorable user experience while maintaining the professionalism expected in real estate. This concept website was designed to help first-time buyers feel confident and excited about taking their next big step into adulthood.

Analysis & User Persona

I began by conducting a competitive analysis of three major real estate platforms to understand industry standards and identify opportunities to differentiate Reella. This research helped me pinpoint common design patterns and features that users expect while also finding areas where the experience could be improved.

With these insights, I developed a user persona to represent the target audience—first-time homebuyers looking for a more intuitive and less overwhelming experience. This persona guided my design decisions, ensuring the website would cater to their needs and preferences.

Mood Board & Design System

With a clear understanding of the target audience, I shifted my focus to defining the visual direction. I explored various sources of inspiration, gathering colors, typography, and design elements that would create a welcoming yet professional feel.

After refining my choices, I established a cohesive design system to ensure consistency throughout the project. This included a balanced color palette, a modern yet approachable typeface, and clean UI components—serving as a foundation I could reference throughout the design process.

Wireframes & Page Layouts

With a solid design direction in place, I began mapping out the structure of the website. I started with rough sketches to explore different layout possibilities before refining them into more polished wireframes.

Simplicity was key—I focused on creating a clean, intuitive design that would help reduce stress and make the home-buying process feel approachable. By prioritizing clarity and ease of navigation, I aimed to instill confidence in users as they explored their options.

Final UI Design

With my wireframes in place, I brought the Reella website to life by designing high-fidelity comps that balanced style and usability. I focused on creating an inviting layout with thoughtful spacing, using the warm yet professional color palette, and intuitive navigation to ensure users could easily find what they needed.

App Walkthrough

To showcase the user experience, I created a prototype in Figma that demonstrates how a first-time home buyer might navigate the Reella website. The walkthrough follows a typical journey—from exploring available listings to reaching out to an agent for a home tour. This simulation highlights the site’s intuitive flow, making it easy for users to browse properties, gather essential details, and take the next step toward homeownership with confidence.
